Happy Saturday friends! Better yet happy February! It’s officially my birthday month and I’m looking forward to all this month have to bring! Praying that it brings me happiness and blessings as I embark on the upcoming of a new chapter. As I reflect on the past two weeks I have been aware that a lot of the things that I have experienced just in the past two weeks have simply been attacks. Of course life has moments where things don’t go as planned it’s important to pay attention to the patterns and the timing where things began to go haywire because some of those things could very well be attacks from the enemy.
One of the things that I have noticed about believers is that we sometimes become so unaware or not vigilant in the things that take place in our life and we don’t cover ourselves or prepare for the darts that the enemy prepares to throw at us. The Bible says in 1 Peter 5:8: "Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour”. The Bible lets us know that the devil is looking to attack us, he’s scheming and plotting on our downfall. The devil is our biggest opp in all honesty and we have to keep ourselves covered and protected at all times. When the attacks come some of the ways that we can cover and protect ourselves are simply covering ourselves with the full armor of God. Praying before we leave the house, praying Psalms 91 over our lives. When the attacks comes we have to be prepared for war. We’re not fighting against fleshly things a lot of attacks are spiritual, again something that we have to be mindful of. Of course these things are sometimes easier said than done especially when you are simply just tired. If I can be real with you sometimes the mishaps in life can just be draining and tiring and sometimes it will push you to want to give up, but know that’s what the enemy want you to do. Think of the enemy as a bully. Would you in the natural let a bully just beat you up everyday? Probably not. Especially in these days people don’t fight, they come for blood. So don’t let the enemy bully you and beat you up. Fight back and go for blood. Make him pay. Remembering that you’re not alone and that God is fighting for you and with you!
My prayer today is that we are covered in the blood of Jesus and that any attack and plan that the enemy is plotting on our behalf will be dismantled to never reach the earth and to never reach our lives. I pray that we will be more aware and sensitive to Holy Spirit who gives us insight and guidance on how to maneuver daily through life. I pray that we will all live long and prosperous lives!
With love,
-Yours Truly, Eb
