Happy Saturday my friends! I’m so excited because spring is on the horizon! Over the past few years, spring has become one of my favorite seasons. If you’ve been here long enough, a lot of you know that I like to self reflect and just reflect in general. So I wanted to share with you all my little revelation on spring.
For the past few years I’ve been able to smell spring. I know that sounds strange lol, but imagine how at times you may smell perfume or cologne in the air. That’s how it’s been for me with spring. Spring for me comes with an aroma that revives my spirit and revives my hope. The aroma reminds me that new is on the horizon. There’s a refreshing about spring. Not just naturally but for me most times spiritually. Spring to me is a time of restoring and renewing. It’s a time where blooming happens. Where the seeds sown begin to sprout. That’s spring to me.
So of course with spring the weather begins to break. So as we had beautiful weather in Michigan yesterday, I utilized the opportunity to commence my outdoor walks. Last year I went on daily outdoor walks that truly changed my life. During those times I was able to meet with God daily in a way that I hadn’t experienced before. As I was walking I was reminded of those moments where God met me on my walks, revealed things to me and just talked with me. It really was like having a daddy/daugther talk every morning. In those moments I learned to simply just be quiet before Him to just listen and to learn. I had intentional conversations with God as my Father and He met me.
As I share that, I’m reminded of how I felt yesterday on my walk. I felt excited for the new. Excited for my daddy/daughter talks again in this space. I felt rejuvenated and happy. I felt a restorating moment for my life personally. I felt my hope being restored and my mind being renewed. I felt again that God met me.
My prayer today is that in this new season that is upon us that you experience the new. I pray that you will experience restoration and renewing. I pray that joy will be your portion and that in those moments where you are still that God will meet you.
